Introduction(cont.)
One-threshold handoff
- It is a straightforward handoff procedure where a call will be terminated if it cannot find an available channel to handoff to when it reaches the edge of cell.
- It is neither efficient nor practical, as mobile communication should be maintained as long as the signal quality exceeds a required threshold.
