Two-threshold handoff
- The handoff procedure allows the mobile unit to keep on requesting for an available channel before it reaches its failure threshold, which is defined as the minimum signal level required to maintain good communications quality.
- However, the two-threshold handoff algorithm makes no attempt at equalizing the teletraffic load distribution from one cell to the next.
